Frequently Asked Questions

The HELP Center ... Keeping You in the Know!

Q: Can I contact you and are you available after the tax season if needed regarding my tax return?

A.Davis

Lakeland, TN

A: The typical deadline to have your taxes turned in to the IRS is April 18th of any filing year. Tax companies are not legally obligated to remain opened after this date, and most do close their doors not long after this date.

However, as a client of Tax ELITE Financial Services, our obligation and guarantee to you is to work your file for as long as it takes to resolve any issues with the IRS and assure that you receive your tax refund. Should there be an issue with your tax return, we communicate and work with IRS on your behalf to resolve those issues and push your return through to be processed as quickly as possible.  You can rest assured that we will always remain in contact with you regarding the status of your return and provide any updates as soon as we receive them. Getting it done, no matter how long it takes, is our mantra and we stand by that creed.

Q: What are your service fees for processing my tax return and why do tax companies charge so much?

S. Callicutt

Little Rock, AR

A: Tax ELITE Financial Services does an annual price comparison analysis to assure competitive, yet fair processing fees to our clients. In the tax world, processing fees are typically in place to hold that tax company accountable for the complete and accurate processing of your tax return. You should not have to do any work if you are paying a tax company a processing fee.

Our processing fees are determined by thorough and complete research of the information you provide, our certified knowledge of tax laws, and our ability to get the highest refunded amount allowable by law.

We offer one flat fee for clients who file their taxes with an employment W2 ONLY and one slightly higher flat fee for clients who are self-employed and file via Schedule C.

Q: Why does my tax refund go to your bank account? Isn't that illegal?

D. Baldwin

Tupelo, MS

A: What's typically not explained to clients is that every tax company has a legal affiliation with a bank or banking institution. What connects that to you filing your tax return is when you accept a holiday advance from that tax company.  Holiday advances are a benefit offered by that tax company at their risk, so those funds are entrusted to you in good faith as an advance on your tax return and naturally come from the company's bank account.

To be clear, NO TAX COMPANY SHOULD EVER TIE A CLIENT'S TAX RETURN TO A PERSONAL ACCOUNT!

Republic Bank is our accredited bank of choice and they additionally charge a flat bank fee to provide you the confidence and legal backing that your refund will be processed by a legitimate banking institution and not by your tax company.

Additionally, the offices of Tax ELITE Financial Services does not handle live checks like most tax companies. We require you to have a debit VISA card or active bank account to file with us. This eliminates any degree of confusion or misunderstanding with your refund check, as providing this information assures your tax refund check will be direct deposited to the account you provide.
